US- CO, Denver- Oil and Gas Accountant

This position will be responsible for performing a broad range of accounting responsibilities for Crude Oil Marketing ventures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Review business transactions and prepare related journal entries for energy marketing transactions
Maintains general ledgers by ensuring appropriate supporting details
Responsible for closing the books in accordance with financial-reporting deadlines
Coordinates with the Crude Oil Marketing Accounting team in preparing consolidated financial reports
May participate in the design and implementation of accounting systems and control procedures
Conducts special projects as requested by management
Provides requested information as needed for internal and external audits
Position Requirements:
Good computer and system skills, proficient in Excel
Ability to think analytically
Good interpersonal skills; able to work with different departments and with various levels of company personnel
Demonstrates initiative and is self motivated
Positive attitude and disposition
Applicant must possess general ledger or public accounting work experience
5-7 years of Accounting experience (Oil and Gas Experience required)
Oracle 11i experience is a plus (Discover Experience is also a plus)
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA preferred.

Large Firm in Cheyenne WY is seeking Audit and Tax Specialists for Direct Hire opportunities. Relocation available plus full benefits!

Responsibilities for Audit:

  • Maintain contact with the client throughout the year.
  • Direct fieldwork daily, inform supervisors of the engagement status.
  • Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.

Responsibilities for Tax:

  • Be able to work long hours during tax season.
  • Work closely with managers and partners, especially during busy season.
  • Communicate appropriately with clients while working on their tax return.
  • Research tax law and how it may apply to particular returns.
  • Understand federal, state and local tax codes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree plus Masters in Accounting or related field
  • At least 5 years of Audit or Tax experience

  • Public Accounting experience required
  • Non profit and government accounting experience is preferred

US-CO-Longmont-Customer Service Specialist-Direct Hire

New opening in the Longmont area with a medical manufacturing company for a Customer Service Specialist.

Responsibilities:

  • Takes customer calls, handles routine product inquires, enters sales orders, and provides information about availability, estimated ship date, etc.
  • Assures adherence to Company terms of sales, policies with respect to discount authority, and the granting of credit.
  • Assists with Clinical Solutions study deployments, site maintenance, and site closures.
  • Works with the sales team in developing quotations that are in accordance with our marketing standards, discount authority, and terms and conditions.
  • Handles all interactions with the Customer in a courteous, helpful, and professional.
  • Interacts with other members of Finance to assure efficient operations throughout the quote- to-cash cycle. Processes credit cards online as requested/required.
  • Coordinates with Manufacturing as to the availability of Product.
  • Makes calls to customers with expiring service contracts.

Additional Needs:

  • College degree preferred but not required.
  • Three to five years of customer service experience required, preferably with a company whose product line is technical and diverse in nature.
  • Proficiency in word processing and with sophisticated accounting systems required; spreadsheet proficiency highly desirable.

In addition experience with the indicated job responsibilities and the specific skills listed, our client would be interested in evidence of aptitude to understand a somewhat technically complex product line, both to answer some basic inquiries from customers, but also be able to guide our field sales reps through the quotation process for our capital goods. (Knowing, for example, minimum configuration requirements versus options, and being able to understand functionality so the potential customer is quoted the equipment that will really meet his/her needs.)

Pay is 30k-40k DOE
